On June 22, Jason Travis Hamby was hired as Trigg County’s new assistant superintendent for personnel and operations. He will be filling the position left open by Beth Sumner, who was recently selected to replace Mary Ann Lander as assistant superintendent of instruction.

Originally from Hopkins County, Hamby has been the principal of South Todd Elementary in Todd County for the last three years. Before that, he was assistant principal of Todd County Middle School for four years. Before making his move into school administration, Hamby taught at Hopkins County Central High School from 1997 to 2000. After that, he taught math for two years at James Madison Middle School, also in Hopkins County.
