In Murray, the team played Perry Central, located in Hazard County, Graves County, and Paducah St. Mary. The Cats lost all three games, even though they had a ten point lead in the third quarter against Perry Central and St. Mary.
The three defeats came on a day when the Cats were missing three players and had several guys on the floor that had not suited up all summer because of football.
“I think it was a good day for us in Murray,” said an optimistic coach Mike Wright, “now they have a month to be young people like they should be.”
This summer brought much needed adjustments to the basketball court. With Mike Wright now on board the team did not only have to adjust to a new style of coaching, but a new style of play.
