After a three-week investigation, Kentucky State Police Officers arrested 67-year-old Jerry I. Small of Cadiz for the alleged sale of two gallons of homemade wine to an undercover KSP officer.

Small was arrested at his home at 1427 Goose Hollow Road in Trigg County.

A KSP arrest report said that the detective allegedly purchased the alcohol from Small on August 4. With the completion of the transaction, Trooper Richard Wright got consent to search Small’s property where he allegedly discovered 250 gallons of homemade wine and other unspecified items of evidence.

The KSP cited Small for Illegal Sale of Alcohol in a Dry Territory in court. The KSP press release describes the offense as a misdemeanor, and said that the suspect was not arrested.

Trigg County Sheriff’s Department officials assisted the KSP at the scene, and Wright is conducting an ongoing investigation.
