Using the sum of the lowest bids in every category, the cost of the building is estimated to be $9,276,940. Administrative Office of the Courts Representative Vance Mitchell said the project’s construction budget has been set at $8.3 million.
The project, in its pre-construction phase for over a year-and-a-half, will begin with demolition of the old Trigg County Courthouse once contracts have been awarded, and plans are completed to raze the building.
