While it is clear that the former Trigg County bus garage will probably never again be occupied by humans, the Board of Education will eventually have to decide what to do with the building and the property on which it stands.

Right now, the old garage is used mostly for storage. There are quite a few surplus computers, keyboards and computer mice. Ladd said that some maintenance trucks are kept there to avoid being vandalized. The district also stores its fuel tanks there. There is one diesel tank and one gasoline tank.

Director of Operations Matt Ladd said that a hole in the roof of the first half of the building has caused water to soak through and destroy parts of the ceiling in several parts. Because of the leak, there are several spots on the floor where water has damaged vinyl composition tile as well. At the July 26 Board of Education meeting, Ladd said the board basically had three options from which to choose.
