On Sunday August 5 the Trigg County Powerlifting team, along with their coaches, family, and friends got together one more time to celebrate, eat, and raise a little money. Jack McGee prepared enough food to feed the military and he donated all the money he made from it back to the powerlifting team.

While the awards were being handed out coach Erin Eagleson said, “with (head coach) Colby (Lewis) leaving everyone was wondering what is going to happen to power lifting”. And what did happen after coach Lewis left for a year to go to Madisonville Central? Trigg County only scored more points than any team in the history of Kentucky State Powerlifting and beat the Goliath of powerlifting, Louisville Trinity, who had never lost a single meet in school history until state. Trigg beat the unbeatable to take home the State Championship trophy and receive their Goliath looking rings. Lewis is hoping they can do it with him here this time around.
