Employees of Scot’s said that management would not issue a statement or grant an interview on the day of the robbery.
Officer Scott Brown investigated at the scene. He said that an employee went to his or her car at approximately 2 p.m. carrying an unspecified quantity of cash in a “bank bag.”
Brown said, “We have a limited description of the suspect at the time. The suspect approached the victim from the back. No eye contact was made with the suspect.” He added that 30 minutes after the investigation, it was unknown by police if the suspect carried a weapon, and had no description of the suspect to release. “We think he fled on foot, but if he walked 20 feet and got into a car away from the scene, is it really fleeing the scene on foot?”
