“I think it is great that he returned,” said Mike Oliver, owner of Wildcat Chevrolet, “he is a local and everyone seems to be very supportive of him.”
There have been many promotional and money raising events at Wildcat Chevrolet to build up the game. On Monday, the Trigg County cheerleaders sold game tickets and T-shirts from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the car lot, known for its giant American flag.
Oliver came to be the main sponsor of the bowl game when complications with Integra paved the way for a new era in Trigg County’s beloved bowl. Wildcat Chevrolet had been an associate sponsor behind Integra since the bowl game began in 2001. Last year was the first year Wildcat Chevrolet became the main sponsor of the game.
“We are just trying to build up the spirits around town,” said Oliver, “it has become a community event and people get excited about it.”
