Trigg County Sheriff Randy Clark confirmed late last week that the body of a decapitated cat had been found on a Trigg County School bus. Clark said the cat was found after the driver reported the incident to authorities last Monday as she prepared to make her regular pickups for school.

The bus was located at the driver’s home under a policy by the school system that allows some buses to be garaged at the driver’s home rather than make a trip to the bus garage and then return back to the route.

Clark declined to release the driver’s name out of concern for her safety and privacy. “We feel like this particular driver was the target of the incident. There has been no trouble reported with any of the students that ride the bus, but we believe someone has an issue with her.” He would only say that the driver operates one of the Canton-area bus routes.
