The first is Seattle of the National Football League.
Absolutely everyone who entered picked them to win over Arizona but they didn’t figure Edgerrin James to pound away 128 yard on the ground and Matt Leinart to toss the pigskin for 299 yards to edge out Seattle by three points, 23-20.
The second thing to take into consideration is the football phenom Mildred Gratsy. While she also missed out on the Seattle game, she managed to edge out a victory against Billy Kearney (they both missed three games) in missing the tie breaker by only one point.
Mildred had chosen 58 as the most points that would be scored and Billy had figured on 42. The high mark came when Florida trounced Tennessee by a score of 59-20.
For her efforts, Mildred will become eligible for the $300 drawing at the end of the contest. She also wins $25 cash for her weekly win. Another contest is in the B Section and everyone is invited to take their best shot.
Just watch out for Mildred and Seattle!
