The sides of Main Street were lined with classic cars Friday night, some of them with their hoods open and their pristine engines on display. Car lovers walked the sidewalks, stepping in and out of antique shops and admiring each others’ beautiful machines.

It was the “Cadiz Cruze-In” of the summer, but the man who thought of the idea, Jesse Thomas, said he planned to continue them next summer. He said last week that he hopes to buy a public address system sometime soon so that he can play music at the events next year.

Thomas was pleased to have food sold at the event for the first time in August, and hope that would continue. Manuel Brown was there Friday with the Lions Club, and said they had been selling hamburgers for $1.75 and $2 with cheese.
