Mrs. Wright died on Thursday, September 13, 2007, at 12:05 a.m. at Christian Health Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Mrs. Wright was born on Sunday, September 29, 1912, in Cadiz. She was the daughter of the late John E. Edwards Sr. and Lillian (Prescott) Edwards.
Mrs. Wright was a homemaker. She was a member of the Gracey-West Union Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Wright, one brother in infancy, John E. Edwards, Jr., two sisters, Sara Alice Robinson, and Elizabeth “Tiny” Fleming.
Survivors include one son, Earl Edwards Wright, of Cadiz, one daughter and son in law, Alice Ann Wright and D. Wayne Cooke, of Santa Fe, one brother and sister in law, John T. “Toppy” and Huel Edwards Sr., of Cadiz, one sister, Lillian “Toodles” Malin, of Muscle Shoals, AL., one grandchild, Bryan Edwards Wright, two great grandchildren, Haden Montgomery Wright and Nolen Winthrop Wright.
Serving as pallbearers were D. Wayne Cooke, Jimmy Petty, Bill Simmons, Ben Wright, Jr., Bryan Wright, and Albert Wyatt.
Clay King, organist, provided the music.
