“I did not put the event on by myself. We put it on with the Lake Barkley Marina and Jolly’s Dairy Bar. We haven’t sat down to come up with an exact amount from the event. We were trying to hit the $1,000 mark,” said Smith of the amount of money raised. “I’m not sure if I broke even on the event. We may have ended up in the hole, but we are going to get together and take care of it.”
Smith said that a smaller turnout than expected at the event reduced the amount of contributions collected.
“Judge/Executive Stan Humphries told us to give the check to the fiscal court, but we may bring it in to the next Recreation Board Meeting.”
