Oops, forgot something! With linemen like Tony Bryant in the Reidland backfield, it’s no wonder the Greyhounds were unable to score. This time, top, they forgot the ball. Tony had a dozen tackles before the night was over. Scotty Mayes, below, not only held onto the ball, but scored three touchdowns. That’s seven in the last two games.
We have a few minutes before kickoff so I want to share something that amuses me.
Since I have been doing this little article I have been approached by several folk wanting to talk football and other sports. I’m all for it!
But please keep in mind a “Wishbone” is a chicken part to me. “Coffin corner” has to be Goodwins. A “Crackback Block” is probably in a bad part of a big city. A “Dime Package” is something that will get you arrested. And I don’t even want to think about a “Long Snapper”!
Next week the Wildcats have open so I will do some research and report back with some terms and definitions and maybe some quotable quotes.
It’s game time. Once again Trigg County fans came out in force. I would say we had more fans in attendance than Reidland without fear of contradiction.
The visitor stands were jammed full and so were the sidelines.
Trigg County started off with a slippery ball and the thought of an upset did enter my head.
