Revs. Paul Cannon, Billy Joe Nichols, and Curley Elmore will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at the East End Cemetery, in Cadiz.
Mr. Ford died on Sunday, September 23, 2007, at 12:14 a.m. at his residence in Cadiz, after a battle with cancer.
Mr. Ford was born on Thursday, October 12, 1944, in Cadiz. He was the son of the late Howard Blane and Maxine (Williams) Ford.
Mr. Ford was Co-Owner of Ford Trucking and Logging. He was a member of the Canton Baptist Church where he was a deacon and former church treasurer. He also participated in the Trigg County Relay for Life on the Ford Family and Friends Team. He was also a member of the Antique Tractor Pullers. He was a bass singer for the Landmark Quartet.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Tony Brent Ford.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne (Tyler) Ford, of Cadiz, one son and daughter-in-law, Kerry Blane and Lori Ford, of Cadiz, one daughter, Heather Vinson, of Hopkinsville, three grandchildren, Jackson Ford Vinson, Grayson Blane Ford, and Jordan Olivia Vinson, sisters and brothers in law, Carolyn and Leon Bland, of Cadiz, Gail and Donnie Powell, of Lacy, KY, Brenda and Carl Ledford, of Trigg County, Robin Ford-Stagner and Monty Stagner, of Cadiz, Mother-in-law, Nell Tyler, of Cadiz, and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Billy Joe McNichols, Lowell Walker, Dr. Terry Calhoun, Marty Hunter, Carl “Quick Draw” Colley, Hae Calhoun, Carl Ray Sumner, Ray Underhill, Hayden Jones, John R. Vinson, III, William E. “Pippy” Tyler, and Randy Osburn.
Junior pallbearers are Jackson Ford Vinson and Grayson Blane Ford.
Honorary pallbearers are Deacons at Canton Baptist Church.
Canton Baptist Church Choir and Clay King, Pianist will provide the music.
