Funeral services for Ola Timmons Hite, 82, of Cadiz, were conducted on Saturday, September 22, 2007, at 10 a.m. at King’s Funeral Home.

Revs. Nick Sandefur, and Dr. Carmen Lile-Henley, officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Robertson-Hite Cemetery, in Trigg County.

Mrs. Hite died on Monday, September 17, 2007, at 7:05 p.m. at the Hilltop Nursing Home in Kuttawa of natural causes.

Mrs. Hite was born on September 17, 1925, in Trigg County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Wade “Red” and Ruth Light Timmons.

Mrs. Hite was a homemaker and former Pink Lady at Jennie Stuart Medical Center. She was a member of the Edgewood Baptist Church in Hopkinsville where she was a member of the Barbara Clement Women on Mission Circle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Reed Hite, one brother, Harry Dyer Timmons, two sisters, Myrtlene Timmons and Margarine Timmons Sallee, and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Garrott Lile and Katherine Glenn Butts.

Survivors include three sons, Michael T. Hite, Hopkinsville, Mitch Hite, Trigg County, Terry Hite, Trigg County, three daughters, Brenda Hite Lile, Hopkinsville, Jean Hite Henault, Trigg County, Lezlie Hite Butts, Durham, NC, one brother, Elias Wade Timmons, Tucker, Georgia, eleven grandchildren, Dr. Carmen Lile-Henley, Nashville, TN, Dr. Phyllis Lile-King, Greensboro, NC, Emily Lile Chrysler, Richmond, VA, Dr. Virginia Lile Boaz, Jefferson, TX, Dr. Cherry Anne – Elizabeth Henault, Louisville, Jefferson Cain Henault, Louisville, Holly Hite McCormick, Cadiz, Tracy Marie Hite, Cunningham, TN, Joanna Rae Hite, Martin, TN, Ian Reed Butts, Durham, NC, Eliza Wade Butts, Durham, NC.

Seven great grandchildren, Rachel Elizabeth Lile-King, Greensboro, NC, Noah Benjamin Lile-King, Greensboro, NC, John-Charles Lile-Henley, Nashville, TN, Thomas James Lile-Henley, Nashville, TN, Garrett Berkley McCormick, Cadiz, Corinne Garrott Lile-King, Greensboro, NC, and Reid King McCormick, Cadiz.

Serving as pallbearers were David Butts, Ian Butts, Jefferson Cain Henault, George Lile-King, Mark Lile-King, and Phillip Boaz.

Honorary pallbearers were Skip Pisa, Dan Stinchcomb, Bob Lester, George Humphries, Adrian Leneave, Danny Hite, Rene Chrysler, Jeff Hite, David Lile, Patrick McCormick, David P. Smith, Tim Timmons, and Phil Timmons.

Brenda Hite Lile, Pianist and a family ensemble provided the music.
