The Cadiz/Trigg County Planning and Zoning Commission granted the City of Cadiz’s request to rezone 1.233 acres on Line St. in a special-called meeting Monday night.

Commission President Bob Brahame said that the commission did all that the law required prior to the rezoning. “We’ve notified the city who has a plat and put up a notice, we’ve notified adjacent land owners and notified the media.”

Commission Secretary Sharon Butts said that she knew of no objections or complaints to the proposed rezoning.

With a motion from Lucas Chesnut and a second by Paul Fourshee, the commission passed the rezoning recommendation by a unanimous margin. The Cadiz City Council will vote to enact the new recommendation at their next meeting.
