Graveside services for Anna Pearl Broadbent Meredith, 90, of Cadiz, were conducted on Sunday, October 21, 2007, at 2 p.m., at the Jones Cemetery in Trigg County.

Rev. Don Mock officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Cemetery.

Mrs. Meredith died on Friday, October 19, 2007, at 3:50 p.m., at the Pembroke Nursing Home in Pembroke of natural causes.

Mrs. Meredith was born on September 18, 1917, in Cadiz. She was the daughter of the late William B. and Gladys Williams Broadbent.

Mrs. Meredith was a homemaker and a member of the Cadiz Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry “Colonel” Meredith; a daughter, Rosemary Meredith; a half-brother, William B. Broadbent; and a half-sister, Nora Thomas.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Paul Shoulders of Gallatin, Tenn., and Ann and Joe Snell of Burns, Tenn.; grandson and wife, Brian and Tammy Pollock; and a great-grandson, Anthony Pollock.

Serving as pallbearers were Ralph Metts, Preston Metts, Anthony Pollock, Paul Shoulders, Vernon Broadbent, and John R. Vinson, III.
