Funeral services for Rebecca Doom Lane, 52, of Eddyville, were conducted on Thursday, October 18, 2007, at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville.

Rev. Lonnie Knight officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Dycusburg Cemetery in Crittenden County.

Ms. Lane died on Sunday, October 14, 2007, at 8:10 p.m., at her home following a short illness.

Ms. Lane was born on December 13, 1954, in Crittenden County. She was the daughter of Dottie McClure Manley of Marion, and the late Harland Doom.

Ms. Lane was a retired correctional guard for the Kentucky State Penitentiary and a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Caldwell County.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, George and Iva Shewcraft Doom and her maternal grandparents, Leslie and Dolly Doom McClure.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, is her step-father, Jimmy Manley of Marion; three daughters, Jessica Colson of Wichita, Kan., Lara Lane of Nashville, Tenn., and Ashley Lane of Paducah; a grandson, Camron Colson of Wichita, Kan.; and four aunts, Hazel Doom Guess of Marion, Shirley Doom Smith of St. Peters, Mo., and locally by Martha Doom Maxfield and Margery Doom Sumner, both of Cadiz.
