In June, Circuit Judge Dennis Foust issued a ruling voiding the ordinance that originally annexed the subdivision. The council voted on the first reading of an ordinance declaring its intent to annex the subdivision at a special-called Aug. 23 meeting and the second reading on Sept. 11. City Clerk Lisa Rogers said last week that the city would not be able to take action on the annexation until Nov. 18, when 60 days will have passed for property owners to voice any objections to the move. Rogers said that the first reading of the annexation could be at the Dec. 4 council meeting or sometime close to that.
