But the winner didn’t come from that group.
There were another nine entries that missed on only two games.
But the winner didn’t come from that group, either.
There were another five entries that missed only one of the games.
And, guess what, the winner didn’t come from that group either.
Instead, the winner of the eleventh week was Joyce Johnson who turned in a perfect eleven picks to pick up $25 and have her name entered for the $300 drawing after next week’s contest.
It seemed that both high school and professional games gave the Monday quarterbacks some problems this week with most of the mistakes coming when Fulton City went down in defeat to Mayfield 48-29 and San Diego lost by seven to Jacksonville. The North Oldham and Henry County game also gave some trouble.
This will be the final week of the contest and there will be some special notes on this week’s pick. All entries must be in our office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday or postmarked no later than Friday afternoon. Because our office will be closed this Friday, anyone who brings an entry in must place it in the mail slot in our door.
The door with the slot is the one on the north (or right) when you face our office from Nunn Blvd. There will be a box located on the inside of the door to catch the entries and it will be removed shortly after 5 p.m. Friday.
You do not have to be a subscriber to win and everyone who has received a complimentary copy of The Cadiz Record this week is certainly invited to try their skills. There is no cost and each week $25 is awarded to the best of the entries. The tiebreaker, if needed, is the highest points scored by one of the listed teams, so be sure and select that number.
Each of the weekly winners will be entered into a $300 drawing at the close of week 12. Again, there is no cost to enter.
The drawing will take place in the following manner. Each week of the contest will be listed and that week will be drawn randomly. The winner of that week’s contest will pick up a check for $300. Because there were two winners in week 10 there will be two entries for that week named as Week 10 #1 and Week 10 #2.
Don’t forget, this is the final week, so get your picks into our office.
