Baker-White Exchange Wedding Vows

On Saturday, October 20, 2007, the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Cadiz was the scene of the exchanging wedding vows of Chelsie Baker and William Lee White, both of Cadiz. Pastor Jerry T. Bacon officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Ruth Anne Moody of Cadiz.

Grandparents of the bride are the late Monroe and Ruth Baker of Cadiz.

The groom is the son of Dan and Star Green of Cadiz.

Grandparents of the groom are Mary Oakley of Cadiz and the late William Oakley.

The bride, escorted and given in marriage by her son, Jayven Jones, wore an ivory halter satin split-front gown with champ sash accented in ivory crystals pearls and lace with scalloped hemline, giving it an elegant look, with a train. She made and carried a beautiful bouquet made of fall colored flowers and greenery.

The bride chose her best friend, Staci Rae from Cadiz, to serve as her Matron of Honor.

Serving as Maid of Honor was Jerrica Frank of Hopkinsville, niece of the bride. Bridesmaids were Rodreyanna Jones of Cadiz, daughter of the bride, Natasha Wharton of Cadiz and Rachell Cannady of Hopkinsville, both nieces of the bride.

The attendant’s wore dresses of satin haltered champagne and ivory with lace.

The groom chose his father, Danny Green, of Cadiz to serve as his Best Man.

Groomsmen were Josheph Losiewski of Plainwell, Mich., best friend of the groom, Henry Wharton and Devon Wharton, both of Cadiz, nephews of the groom, and DeMarco Smith of Cadiz, cousin of the groom.

Sydney (LuLu) Frank, niece of the bride, served as Flower Girl.

Ringbearer was Dillon Smith, cousin of the groom.

Guest Registrar was kept by Alice Smith, cousin of the groom, Nekedra Baker, daughter of the bride, Cadiz, Jenada Acree, Cadiz, cousin of the bride, Whitney Williams of Hopkinsville, God-daughter of the bride.

Mothers of the bride and groom lit the candles. Then the bride and groom lit the Unity Candle.

Following the wedding ceremony a reception was held in the Church Fellowship Hall hosted by Shonnon Mathews White of Cadiz, cousin of the bride.

The bride’s cake was 4-tiered with chocolate, red velvet, yellow and white, made by Darlene Butts.

The groom’s cake was a love letter from the bride to the groom with doves and rings. It was chocolate with vanilla icing. Love letter was inscribed on icing.

The bride and groom both work at Stone Plastics in Cadiz.

Following a Honeymoon trip to LB State Resort Park in Metropolis, Ill., the couple is making their home in Cadiz.

Barbara Lewis, Ruth Moody and Annika Frank at the Christian County Public Library gave a previous engagement shower. A bridal shower was given at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Fellowship Hall by Katherine, SaQuetta, Jerrika Wilson and Gertrude Burkes, friends of the bride.

A Rehearsal Dinner was provided by Ruth Moody, mother of the bride, and her friends from Johnson Controls, Inc.
