Funeral services for Howard D. Taylor, 84, of Cadiz, were conducted on Friday, November 16, 2007, at 1 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Bro. Paul Cannon conducted the services. Burial followed in Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz.

Mr. Taylor died on Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at 3:47 p.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville following a short illness.

Mr. Taylor was born on March 8, 1920, in the Linton Community of Trigg County. He was the son of the late Harvey Lee and Peachie Mae Ahart Taylor.

Mr. Taylor was a retired State Highway Department worker, farmer and logger, and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Frances Lanham; six brothers, Clifford Taylor, Jim Taylor, Lee W. Taylor, Odell Taylor, Robert Taylor, and Wilson Taylor; and seven sisters, Helen Baker, Lucille Dycus, Geneva Grant, Lola Hunter, Ollie Lopinot, Mary Winfield, and Vera Carr.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mary Katie Ezell Taylor of Cadiz; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Marlene Taylor, Larry and Linda Taylor, all of Cadiz, and Randy and Joyce Taylor of Frankfort; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce Dunning of Spartanburg, S.C., and Pam and Stan Flood of Cadiz; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Tim Taylor, Todd Taylor, Jeremy Taylor, Brad Taylor, Jason Taylor, Junior Dunning, Bob Lanham, Chad Taylor, Nick Kingston, and John Formon.
