Rev. N.A. Kirby officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cave Springs Cemetery on Monday, November 19, 2007, at 10 a.m.
Mr. Bacon died on Friday, November 16, 2007, at 6:35 a.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
Mr. Bacon was born on March 24, 1942, in Trigg County. He was the son of Nellie Acree Bacon and the late Luke Bacon.
Mr. Bacon was a member of Saint John Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Louise Burrus Bacon.
Survivors include four sisters, June E. Brandon of Hopkinsville, Virginia Jones of Lawton, Okla., Hattie Farrie of Louisville, and Sarah Frezzell of Chicago, Ill.; and a brother, Bobby Bacon of Detroit, Mich.
