As board members of the Trigg County Chapter of the American Red Cross, we have the opportunity to witness the strength of the human spirit each day. As we prepare to celebrate the Christmas Season, the American Red Cross would like to say “thank you” to everyone whose contribution of time, money or blood has helped us help others in their time of need.
We see it in the actions of the numerous volunteers who work hard when we need their help the most. We see it in the face of victims of disaster when a Red Cross worker lends a helping hand. We see it in the dedication of health and safety instructors teaching CPR. We hear it from concerned donors who call to give the gift of money or come in to donate life-saving blood.
In the past two months alone, the Trigg County Chapter has assisted nine individuals who were personally affected by home fires. We have also taught life-saving skills such as CPR, and first aid. This would not have been possible without the contributions of Trigg County residents who’ve helped our local chapter of the Red Cross.
