Rev. James Byars officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Blane died on Sunday, November 25, 2007, at 6:20 a.m. at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
Mr. Blane was born on September 13, 1946, in Christian County, and was the son of the late Howell and Ophelia Gee Blane.
Mr. Blane was a roofer, employed by Chilton Roofing Company, and was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church, in Cadiz.
Survivors include his wife, Serena Talley Blane of Hopkinsville; a step-son, Miguel Talley of Hopkinsville; three brothers, Robert Lee Blane of Pembroke, Jimmie Blane of Elkton, and Garland “O.G.” Blane of Cadiz; four sisters, Mae Alice Lindsay, Floretta Julia Blane, Clara Bell Blane, and Darlene Crenshaw, all of Cadiz; and four step-grandchildren.
