Rev. Paul Cannon officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Roberson-Hite Cemetery in Trigg County, with Military Rites.
Mr. Cameron died on Sunday, January 20, 2008, at 3 a.m. at the Princeton Health and Rehab in Princeton following a short illness.
Mr. Cameron was born on August 2, 1928, in West Palm Beach, Fla. He was the son of the late George and Ethel Leith Cameron.
Mr. Cameron was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church; he had worked in the Forestry Department, and was a truck driver hauling logs for Lonnie Bridges; was a member of the Woodmen of the World; and was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include a brother, Ray Ventura of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Katherine Noel of Canton and Jeanne Burroughs of Cadiz; and seven nephews.
Cindy Dunn, pianist, and Clarissa King, pianist provided the music.
Serving as pallbearers were Gary Williams, Wendell Wallace, Arthur Dunn, Tommy Major, Fred Montgomery, and Tommy Hanberry.
