Rev. Kevin Roberts officiated at the services. Burial followed in the East End Cemetery in Cadiz.
Mrs. Ellis died on Friday, January 25, 2008, at 4:25 p.m., at Trigg County Hospital of natural causes.
Mrs. Ellis was born on July 3, 1915, in Catawba, NC. She was the daughter of the late John H.L. and Eula Sherrill Coulter.
Mrs. Ellis was a member of the Cadiz Baptist Church; member of the Kentucky Teachers Association; TOPS; and a retired school teacher with 40 years of service in the education system.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Seth Coulter and Flake Coulter; and a sister, Stella Coulter.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Rev. Norman Ellis of Cadiz; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Penny Ellis of Cadiz; a daughter and son-in-law, Margot Ellis and Dwain McIntosh of Murray; and two grandchildren, Sarah Ellis and Kent Ellis McIntosh.
Gary Thompson, organist, provided the music.
Serving as pallbearers were Ernest Lawrence, Ramey Cunningham, Jesse Thomas, Larry Kemp, Jimmy Futrell, J.D. Howell, David Shore, Mike Wright, Dale Ezell, and Don Amis.
