To say that Trigg County will walk into the Lyon County Gym with a target on them is being polite. After the Wildcats swept the Lyons in their two previous meetings including Homecoming at Lyon County, the Wildcats will be marked for revenge to say the least. The triple over time thriller in December saw the Lyons play hard at Wildcat Gym behind Aaron Corley and Ramsey Walker.

The story to date:

The First game at Trigg in December would have it’s biggest lead by either team around the Four minute mark in the First half with the Lyons going up 25-16 and from there it as all down hill as the Wildcats Cut the halftime deficit to five 27-22 behind the hot hand of Jonathan King. King and Corley Walker would play out the scoring drama the rest of the night. King hit a late three to put the Wildcats on top to stay in the third overtime. King would finish the night with 41 points and Corley Walker would finish with 35 for the Lyons.

Act Two came in January as the Lyons welcomed the Wildcats to Lyon County on Homecoming night for what would be another memorable tilt. Lyon County started the game off in rivalry style with a track meet for baskets. Lyon opened the game with a three followed by a quick Trigg basket to keep pace. Trigg would go into halftime with a 34-26 lead. The second half of this game would continue to be an emotional roller coaster with the bottom dropping out for the Lyons when a three at the final Buzzer fell short.
