Rev. James Edwards officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Cadiz.
Mr. Anderson died on Sunday, February 17, 2008, at 5 a.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center, of natural causes.
Mr. Anderson was born on June 26, 1945, in Trigg County. He was the son of Irene Palmer McGowan, and the late Leman Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was a farmer, employed for several years by the Porter Farm.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Jerry Ann Hendrix Anderson; six sons and daughters-in-law, George Thomas Anderson, Jr., Clifton Anderson, and Evig “Dana” Anderson, all of Hopkinsville, Michael Anderson and Leman and Trenita Anderson, all of Cadiz, and William Anderson of Cerulean; a daughter, Chauntel “Shoney” Caldwell of Hopkinsville; three brothers and sister-in-law, Tony and Jackie McGowan of Hopkinsville, Ronnie McGowan and Wayne McGowan, both of Gracey; three sisters, Sheila Dillard and Florence Gude, both of Cerulean, and Katie Buckner of Hopkinsville; 17 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
