Almost every Tuesday or Wednesday for the past several weeks, Cadiz and Trigg County has been faced with everything from sleet, to ice, to snow to heavy rains. Cadiz and Trigg Countygot a light dusting of snow last Wednesday that was enough to close school in the area. Most of the snow was gone by mid morning even though heavy flakes continued to fall. By contrast, temperatures were in the 50s and 60s over the weekend. The snow didn’t seem to bother a buttercup that poked its head out of the ground as if to tell Mother Nature that spring is on the way. This particular yellow harbinger of sping was rescued from the path of a four lane highway planned for LBL If you have one of the flowers that was taken from that area, The Cadiz Record would like to see your photos. Bring them to our office at 58 Nunn Blvd or email to news@cadizrecord.com. More photos at www.cadizrecord.com.
