The Cadiz Lions Club will once again hold an Easter egg hunt at West Cadiz Park this year. The hunt will begin at 1 p.m. on March 15. In case of rain, it will be postponed until the following week, March 22, at the same time, said Marilyn Bugbee, who is in charge of filling about 1,000 eggs with goodies and prizes. Lions member Bill Abel has been in charge of the event for several years.
Bugbee said that many local businesses help the club to put on the event every year, which includes giving away a bicycle, a tricycle, 12 savings bonds and $350 to $450 in cash, Bugbee said.
