Wyatt is the mother of Debbie Clark, who lives in Gracey. She has lived in Illinois for more than 60 years, and will be coming in for the show. Clark said that Wyatt has made more than 100 quilts in her lifetime and that she was proud to be having a show in Cadiz. She said she was grateful that the Trigg County Quilters Guild would be lending them some quilt racks for the show.
Clark said the show, which she called the “One Day, One Woman Quilt Show,” would feature 42 large quilts and nine small quilts. She said admission would be a donation to Helping Hands and that the quilts would be hanging in the church’s fellowship hall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be a luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a required donation to the charity organization. Clark said that quilt lovers will definitely want to come see what her mother has made her life’s passion.
“She had an exhibit 25 years ago at the West Frankfort (Illinois) Museum,” Clark said. “She retired at that time. The quality and the quantity of the quilts will just about blow anybody away.”
