Rev. N.A. Kirby will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in Cave Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Matlock died on Thursday, April 10, 2008, at 1:06 a.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
Mr. Matlock was born on December 1, 1944, in Christian County. He was the son of the late Herbert Matlock and Dora Bradley.
Mr. Matlock was a domestic worker and was a member of the Montgomery Elizabeth Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
Survivors include three sons, Julius Morgan and William Morgan, both of St. Louis, Mo., and Anthony Jones of Louisville; five daughters, Angela Matlock, Regina Taylor, and Shantell Caldwell, all of Hopkinsville, Deanna Braxton of Cadiz, and Trenisha Lavender of St. Louis, Mo.
A step daughter, Rene Taylor of Hopkinsville; four brothers, Lewis Irvin, Douglas Irvin, Tyrone Irvin, and James Mumford, all of Hopkinsville; two sisters, Pat Agee of Cerulean and Mary Ann Lander of Cadiz; 25 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
