Now many of you have seen a lot of mentions of these next two guys in our paper in the photos here in The Cadiz Record, but over the last two weeks these two guys have stepped up big, Don Bush has been pitching stellar and hitting like a “Major Leaguer” including two homeruns in one inning against St. Mary’s. A guy who not only catches for Don Bush but relieved him on the mound. He caught 11 innings and then pitched the last two as a reliever. Best know to fans as Will Stagner, the guy is clutch as clutch can be knocking in the winning runs in Saturdays first game then three runs in the second game.
The Wildcats’ week ahead does not get any easier as they go to Crittenden County on Thursday, come home to host UHA on Friday, and then play a doubleheader at Hoptown on Saturday. First, they face Hopkinsville at 1 p.m. then Greenwood at 3 p.m. On Monday, the Wildcats return to “The Complex” to face Lyon County and the take a bus ride over to Dawson Springs on Tuesday the 29th.
Now Monday night out at “The Complex,” I got to meet several parents of members of the Lady Cats softball team for the first time and it was nice to meet most of you. It this point I need to make a apology to my friend Dakota Littlejohn a.k.a “Koty” not as I have been spelling it “Cody.” At least they knew who I was talking about to tell you I spelled it wrong, I’m sorry “Koty”.
