Anticipation is building in the halls of TCHS for the big night, and nobody can stop talking about what their plans are or what they are wearing. When asked what their looking forward to the most about prom, senior Rachel Gaskey said, “I would like to say the after-party, but I would have to say getting to spend a whole night with John (her boyfriend).”
Another senior, Dominique Self said, “Waiting to see if the music I requested will play.”
Audrey Jones, one of the main prom coordinators, said, “I am looking forward to the decorations. They are pretty exciting. We have a 17-ft. Eiffel tower, a café, French murals, red roses on every table, and will be featuring a French cuisine.”
This year’s theme is An Evening in Paris. The dance will be held at Lake Barkley State Lodge from 8 p.m. to midnight. The Grand March starts at 7:30 p.m. but students are asked to be there no later than 7:15 so they have ample time to line up with their dates and be ready to walk when the time is right. For parents wanting to take pictures at the Grand March, they are asked to be at the marina by 6:45 so they can be transported to the lodge in time. Parents and rented limousines are asked to park in the marina parking lot so there is plenty of space for everyone.
