Cadiz Police Officer J.R. Burnett arrested James Connell, 50, of Donaldson Shores Drive, Cadiz on May 1 for an alleged DUI.
The arrest report claim that Burnett found Connell passed out in a truck behind a filling station. In the report, Burnett alleged that Connell admitted drinking “four to six beers” and had an open container of beer in a cup holder. Connell is said to have failed field sobriety tests. After arrests, police drew a blood sample at Trigg County Hospital.
Officer Chad Grace of the Cadiz Police Department arrested 19-year-old Timothy C. Adkins of McCoy Hollow Road for allegedly driving with a suspended operator’s permit on May 3. Grace’s report said that he stopped the suspect for speeding and discovered the suspended license.
Beverly Tyson, 52 of “Rolling Acres” faces charges of DUI after a May 2 arrest. Officer Chad Grace alleged that he spotted the suspect traveling west on Highway 68-80 and crossed the center and fog lines. After Tyson allegedly failed a field sobriety test, she was arrested and taken to Trigg County Hospital where medical personnel took a blood sample for analysis.
Officer J.R. Burnett arrested Michael Steen, 37, of “Rabbit Ridge” for an alleged DUI offense and on the strength of a Christian County Warrant for alleged Flagrant Non-payment of Child Support.
Burnett claimed in his report that he observed Steen driving on the wrong side of the roadway while weaving. Burnett said that he noted the odor of an alcoholic beverage and that the suspect acknowledged drinking “a few beers.” The suspect had an active warrant in Christian County and registered .106 on an Intoxilyzer test.

Trigg County Deputy Sheriff Matt Riddle arrested Curtis L. McGee, 39, of 5079 New Hope Road, Cadiz on May 4. Riddle said that he responded to a domestic disturbance report at the suspect’s address. Upon arrival, Riddle claimed that he spotted the suspect on a riding lawnmower across the roadway. The suspect allegedly approached on the mower and did not respond to a request to stop and get off the mower. Riddle said that McGee approached, then drove to a building behind the address. The suspect then allegedly dismounted and approached the deputy, throwing his hands into the air, yelling and refused to obey Riddles commands. Riddle said that the suspect possessed a strong odor of alcoholic beverages and allegedly admitted to drinking four 12-ounce cans of beer. Riddle charged McGee with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place and Menacing.
