Well what a wild ride the last week has been and I have been on some rides during this time. Last Tuesday I made the trip to Dawson Springs with the Wildcat baseball teams and I must say if I had driven that adventure I would have never gotten there I never realizes when people talk of being out in the middle of no where they ment Dawson Springs. Ok enough of that talk it was a great chance for me to get to know members of the team and I think I can say Hunter Smillie and Will Stagner seem to like being let loose in the dugout during the JV game with my other camera as you will see somewhere in this sports section. I let Whitney “the Enforcer” Cain loose with my camera at a softball game the week before and you’ll see one of those shots here as well.

I’ll kick things off this week with the news of Trigg County football releasing it’s schedule for the coming fall you’ll find the schedules of the Varsity, JV and Freshman teams all in here somewhere looks like a challenging schedule for the Wildcats and some fun road trips to some places I’ve never been before. Hopefully by football season I’ll have the in-game blog update system running well. Last week I did a few updates from the Trigg County Recreation Complex and they posted a bit funny but we will get them tweaked as we get ready for the upcoming stretch run into the district tournament. Speaking of the district tournaments myself along the Lyon County Herald Ledger’s Jody Norwood will be on hand for all the games and don’t panic if you only seem him shooting he will be shooting for both papers as I will do the stats on my trust computer the Monty spoke so kindly of last week. Well I’m on the subject of Monty I want to take a moment to thank him for all he has done over this past school year in the absences of a full time sports guy here. Monty’s photos will continue to grace our pages and help me in everyway to show off the great sports we have in Trigg County and I mean the players not just the games.
