Kentucky State Police last week arrested nine suspects in the alleged rape of a 16-year-old Trigg County girl.

A KSP press release identified the suspects as Devon Morris, 19; Nicholas King, 19; Christopher Futrell, 19; Michael “Chase” Oakley, 20; Marcus Mayes, 20; an unidentified juvenile suspect, 17; Horace Street, 18; and Dhayna Cavanaugh 20. All suspects list a Cadiz home address. Police charged Morris, King, Futrell, Oakley, Mayes and the juvenile with one count each of Rape in the First Degree and Sodomy in the First Degree. Cavanaugh and Street were each charged with one count of First Degree Rape.

During an arraignment Tuesday morning before District Judge Jill Clark, a not-guilty plea was entered on behalf of all defendants due to the accusation of felony offenses. Clark set a June 24 preliminary hearing date to show cause in the trial after all adult defendants agreed to waive their right to a hearing within 20 days. The hearing will convene at 11 a.m. in Clark’s district court room.

All defendants appearing in court were released on bond.
