Graveside services for Delmar Ice, 91, of Cadiz, were conducted on Friday, July 11, 2008, at 1 p.m., at Dale Cemetery in Dale, Ind., with Goodwin Funeral Home in charge.

Rev. Joe Kamman officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Cemetery.

Mr. Ice died on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at 5:15 a.m., at Trigg County Hospital of natural causes.

Mr. Ice was born on April 11, 1917, in Dale, Ind. He was the son of the late Clyde Delmar and Leola Hile Ice.

Mr. Ice was a retired Fire Chief with 30 years of service at Evansville Fire Department; was a carpenter; was past president of the Indiana Fire Chief Association; and was a member of the Methodist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Leona Henson Ice; a brother, Donald Ice; and a sister, Lucille Ice.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Stan White of Cadiz; two grandchildren, Cindy Stroud and Kristen Prouse; a great-grandchild, Brandon Stroud; five step-grandchildren, Christy White, Bill White, Steve White, Holly McLenan, and John White; seven step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Brandon Stroud, Jerry Stroud, John White, Bev Prouse, Stan White, and Richard Issel.
