Rev. Robert Reason officiated at the service. Burial followed in Union Hill Cemetery in Cadiz.
Mrs. Howell died on Friday, July 18, 2008, at 8:55 a.m., at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz, of natural causes.
Mrs. Howell was born on November 15, 1920, in Bumpus Mill, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Euel Edmonds.
Mrs. Howell had worked at Elk Brand Manufacturing and was a member of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Howell; two brothers, Lonnie Edmonds and Homer Edmonds; and two sisters, Mary Herndon and Dutch Reason.
Survivors include a son, Rabon Howell of Clarksville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Shelia Lancaster, vocalist, provided the music.
Serving as pallbearers were Ricky Howell, Danny Howell, Tony Howell, Jimmy Monroe, Ray Wyatt, and Mike Nunn.
