Pavon has been the Trigg County coordinator for the Pennyrile Allied Community Services Retired Senior Volunteer Program since 1998, loyal volunteers Skip and Patsy Garrison said last week. In that time, she has played an critical role in seeing that places like Trigg County Hospital and the Janice Mason Art Museum have enough unpaid help to stay in operation.
Other organizations and events that have benefited from RSVP and Pavon’s services include: the Trigg County Country Ham Festival, Take a Kid Fishing Day, Tax Preparation for Seniors, America Reads, nursing homes in the areas, the Lions Club Easter egg hunt, Bowl for Kids’ Sake, the Red Cross, Big Brother Big Sisters, the John L. Street Library and even the Trigg County Sheriff’s office.
