Funeral services for Daisy Marie McCraw Sadler Flood, 70, of Cadiz, will be conducted on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at 3 p.m., at King’s Funeral Home.

Revs. Norman Cotton and Paul Cannon will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in the Lawrence Cemetery in Trigg County. Visitation after 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mrs. Flood died on Sunday, August 10, 2008, at 3:45 p.m., at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah following a brief illness.

Mrs. Flood was born on March 14, 1938, in Christian County. She was the daughter of the late Dan Monroe McCraw and Hazel Utley McCraw Sumner.

Mrs. Flood was a former seamstress for Elk Brand; was a retired Foster Parent for over 27 years, caring for over 200 foster children; and was a member of Ponderosa Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence David Sadler; four brothers, James Waddell McCraw, Jerry Wayne McCraw, Frank McCraw, and James McCraw; and two grandsons, Michael Colin Sadler and Benjamin Allen Sadler.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, William R. “Robbie” Flood of Cadiz; four sons, David Anthony Sadler, Phillip Allen Sadler, Michael DeWayne Sadler, all of Cadiz, and John Micah Flood of the home; four daughters, Dana Marie Cross of Cadiz, Judy Faye Flood Moore of Hopkinsville; and Anna Spring Flood and Codie Marie Flood, both of the home; foster daughter, Tina Louise Tucker of Nashville, Tenn.; four brothers, William “Bill” McCraw, Sid McCraw, David McCraw, and Donnie McCraw, all of Cadiz; five sisters, Juanita Jones of Hopkinsville, Doris June Tooley Linda Keller, Paulette Harris and Reva Wimberly, all of Cadiz; 12 grandchildren, all of Cadiz, Jansen Drew Sadler, Suzanna Marie Sadler, Lauren Nicole Sadler, Brant Lee Shea Cross, Phillip Alexander Sadler, David Austin Benton Cross, Cameron Chase Kniaz, Katherine Brooke Sadler, Victoria Lyn Sadler, Noah Carter Moore, Joshua Carter Meador, and MacKenzie Paige Meador; a great-grandchild, Jordan Lee Sadler of Cadiz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Ponderosa Baptist Church Choir, Roy Marquess, Jr., soloist and Suellen Hendricks, pianist will provide the music.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Austin Cross, Brant Lee Cross, Jason Drew Sadler, John Micah Flood, Cameron Chase Kniaz, Phillip Alexander Sadler, Noah Carter Moore, and Suzanna Marie Sadler.
