Soccer opens with 4-1 win

The Trigg County boy’s soccer team won there first regular season game against Fort Campbell with a score of 4-1 at home Monday night.

The Wildcats led 2-1 and controlled possession of the ball most of the first period. On their first score of the game the ball was passed well by Roman Cail, Jeremy Butts, and Jeremy Stamps who eventually assisted Trevor Harper for a goal in the first ten minutes of the game. For their only goal Fort Campbell then scored passed Josh Green Trigg Counties goalie who had few save opportunities in the first period, due to not many shots by Fort Campbell. The second goal for the Wildcats came from a long pass down the field to Jeremy Stamps who stuffed it in passed the Fort Campbell goalie at the 10:50 mark.
