Funeral services for Ambie Jones Hartigan Rogers, 85, of Princeton, were conducted on Thursday, August 14, 2008, at 11 a.m., at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Revs. Leslie Joyce, John Benton, and Dean Ray officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Eddy Creek Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Rogers died on Monday, August 11, 2008, at 6:42 p.m., at Caldwell County Hospital in Princeton following a short illness.

Mrs. Rogers was born on February 2, 1923, in Caldwell County. She was the daughter of the late Claude and Julia Ladd Jones.

Mrs. Rogers was a retired boarder at Princeton Hosiery Mill, and was a member of Eddy Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Albert Hartigan; 2nd husband, William J. Rogers; and a brother, Lofton H. Jones.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael Wayne and Becky Hartigan of Princeton; a daughter and son-in-law, Martha Ann Drennan and George Byron of Princeton; four grandchildren, Michael and Michelle Hartigan of Caldwell County, Jon and Amy Hartigan of Phoenix, Ariz., Katie and Shelby Jett of Louisville, and Rachel Rogers of Paducah; five great grandchildren, Alex, Amanda, Anna, Connor, and Campbell Hartigan; and a stepson and daughter-in-law, Gary and Debbie Rogers of Paducah; several nieces and nephews; and several other relatives, including some in Trigg County.

Serving as pallbearers were Shelby Jett, Michael Hartigan, Jon Hartigan, Dana Hartigan, Dale Hartigan, John Forsythe, and Wayne Sledge.
