Trigg County women’s volleyball played Tuesday August 19 for the first time this season at home and had a disappointing varsity lose to a district rival Crittenden County team. The Trigg County varsity lost 15-24 in the first two sets. “The team needs to work on controlling their temper, when one player misses a serve the other players get rattled,” coach Kim Colbert said after the game. Senior Kelly Bradshaw added, “ We need to improve our communication, we kept up with them until we lost communication.”
The varsity team did however start their season on August 18 with a 25-9 win in both sets against Mayfield High School away.
On the other hand, the junior varsity team won in their first two sets against the Crittenden junior varsity team 21-15 and 21-14.
