Trigg tops Madisonville-North Hopkins in volleyball action

The Trigg County High School volleyball team snapped a two-match losing streak Thursday (Aug. 28), defeating host Madisonville North-Hopkins 2-0 (25-17, 26-24). The Trigg County volleyball squad had suffered back-to-back losses to McLean County and Livingston Central before returning to the win column versus Madisonville-North Hopkins.

Trigg County was on the road at Caldwell County Tuesday (sept. 2) for another regular-season match. The Trigg County-Caldwell County match ended too late to make this edition.

The Wildcats have upcoming matches Hopkins County Central, Fort Campbell and Mayfield. Trigg County is slated to compete in the Caldwell County Shootout Saturday, Sept. 6.

Head coach Kim Colbert guides the Trigg County volleyball program. Trigg County (5-5) also owns wins over Mayfield, Todd County Central (2) and Union County.
