Funeral services for Myrtle Redd Curtis, 80, of Hammond, Ind., formerly of Cadiz, will be conducted on Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at 3 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12 noon until funeral time.

Rev. Robin Redd will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in the Cerulean Cemetery in Trigg County.

Mrs. Curtis died on Thursday, September 18, 2008, at 6:39 p.m., in Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Ill., of natural causes.

Mrs. Curtis was born on June 7, 1928, in Kent County, Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of the late Edgar Thomas and Lillian Mae Jones Redd.

Mrs. Curtis was retired from the Simmons Mattress Company of Munster, Ind.; had been Captain of the Dartball Team; and was a member of State Street Baptist Church of Hammond, Ind.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,, Archie Dell Curtis; a sister, Syble Skinner; and three brothers, Omer Thomas Redd, Edgar Milton Redd, and Victor David Redd..

Survivors include a son, Michael L. Curtis of Hammond, Ind.; two sisters, Hazel Wadlington of Cadiz, and Lois Bullock of Central City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the State Street Baptist Church, 860 State Street, Hammond, IN 46320.
