Plenty to see at Perdue Field

Welcome back kind reader, it was good to see you last Friday at Perdue Filed. I know you were there because all of Trigg County was there, hanging off the fences, on the track and in the bleachers. It was a wonder-full house!

And the Wildcats did not disappoint the homecoming crowd with a 61-0 win. It started out with Will Stagner blocking a punt and recovering the ball in the end zone for a Trigg County touchdown. And it only got better after that.

Brandon Bridges had four touch downs by himself! The defense was as aggressive and intent on the ball as I’ve seen this year.

It was a great night to be in a Wildcat fan! Just ask Hunter Allen, a freshman who got himself a touchdown in his first varsity game.

Next week the Wildcats have their week off, so the next time you can see your hometown team in action will be October 10th when the Wildcats do battle with district foes Heath at their place.

Heath is having a tough start this year with a 1-4 record as I write. That doesn’t mean you don’t need to be there, they have excellent field side vittles, and it’s a pleasant drive.

The following week we’re on the road again to the Stadium of Champions for a big game against a very tough Christian County. Make your plans now!

Then and only then the Wildcats come back to Perdue field for a huge district game against border rival Caldwell County. Mark October 24th on you calendar!

Come early, stay late and wear only black as it’s going to be a special night (I’ll have much more on that in the next few weeks).
