Funeral services for Pink “Tiny” Guier, 84, of Cadiz, were conducted on Saturday, October 4, 2008, at 1 p.m., at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cadiz. King’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Revs. Hal Shipley and Larry King officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Guier died on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at 4:10 a.m., at Trigg County Hospital of natural causes.

Mr. Guier was born on August 2, 1924, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Pink Harrell, Sr., and Sidney Alma Williams Guier.

Mr. Guier was a lifelong farmer, who was a Premier Ham Producer, hog producer, cattle producer, tobacco farmer, and a craftsman; was a 50-year member of the Cadiz Masonic Lodge #121; was a Kentucky Colonel; and was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lacy Guier.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Betty Sue Guier of Cadiz; a son, Harrell Guier of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Faye and Bill Stevens and Kaye and Ross Stewart, all of Cadiz; four grandchildren, Devin Stewart of Murray, Shelby Stevens, Kelsey Stewart and Clay Stevens, all of Cadiz.

Jan Oakley, pianist, Mark Harris, vocalist, Faye Stevens and Kaye Stewart, vocalist, provided the music.

Serving as pallbearers were Devin Stewart, Clay Stevens, Randy Armstrong, Bill Stevens, Ross Stewart, Russ Guier, Joe Oakley, Larry Hooks , Donne McCraw, and Hugh Roberts, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers were Oak Grove Baptist Church Men’s Sunday School Class, Carl T. “Bunny” Bridges, Mack Cunningham, Ned Davis, Lowell McGuire, Hugh H. “Hallie” Roberts, Sr., Dan Sheehan, Frank Simon, Andrew Thomas, Bruce Thomas, and Tom Vinson.
